As a bioengineer, policy analyst, and lawyer by training, I help growing businesses tackle barriers to innovation by:

Making the entrepreneurship journey more efficient, accessible, and enjoyable.
Prior to founding Valle Legal, I led complex fundraising, mergers, and acquisitions transactions for life science and technology companies at law firms of varying sizes, and I served as a policy analyst at the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues under the Obama Administration. I once worked in several genetics and bioengineering labs and even programmed yeast to produce raspberry scents.
Outside my legal practice, I enjoy writing and making music (I release songs under the stage name Tulip!), spending time alone in nature, and watching goofy ensemble sitcoms (“The Mick”, “Parks & Rec”, & “Workaholics”) or character-driven psych thrillers (“BEEF”, “White Lotus”, & “Taxi Driver”). I also run my own pet-related startup called Cotl (pronounced like “coddle”).

Jess Frischolz
Jess handles various operational and outreach tasks for Valle Legal. She’s also the expert storyteller behind our Founding Well newsletter.
After 9 years as an art educator, Jess felt called to work with people in a new way. She traded her classroom for a keyboard and began a new career in copywriting, operations, and community outreach for ethical, mindful entrepreneurs and brands who are on a mission to truly do good in this world. Focusing on email marketing, Jess is passionate about building trust and establishing a sense of connection, right in people’s inboxes. Finding just the right balance between storytelling and strategy, she helps businesses step into the hearts and homes of those who need them most.
When she’s not behind the keyboard, you can usually find her outdoors: teaching yoga in nature, hiking among the trees, or reading a good book next to a calming creek.
